Third Thursday in the Gardens: Box turtles were once common inhabitants of Alabama woodlands and backyards, but populations have decreased over the past decades due to habitat loss, disease, and road mortality. Affectionately known as boxies, these terrestrial turtles are found over a large portion of the eastern and southern United States. Join us to learn about these fascinating creatures and how to keep them healthy and happy in their natural home. To reserve your spot, call Anniston Museum at 256-237-6766. Reservations are required.
