International Polar Bear Day
According to the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species, the Polar Bear, Ursus maritimus, population is considered vulnerable. International Polar Bear Day is recognized on February 27 and created with the intention of bringing awareness to threats the polar bear population is facing. Visit the Anniston Museum in the Attack and Defense Hall to learn more about the polar bear struggles and how we can help. Program is free with paid admission. Members are free.
