Gadsden, Ala.—Gadsden State Community College’s Continuing Education Department will offer ACT Prep from 1 to 4 p.m. June 4-7 at the Joe Ford Center in Gadsden. By taking advantage of the ACT Prep Camp, high school students will have an opportunity to prepare for the 2018-2019 testing schedule which begins Sept. 8. Veterans Upward Bound Tech Tuesday
Gadsden/Anniston, Ala.—Gadsden State’s Veterans Upward Bound program will host Tech Tuesday BYOD: Learn to use iPad/iPod Touch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 12 at the Ayers Campus Learning Resource Center and Beck Field House on the Wallace Drive Campus. This workshop is customized to offer assistance in using the latest technology devices.
Military veterans residing in Blount, Calhoun, Cherokee, Cleburne, DeKalb, Etowah, Jefferson, Marshall, St. Clair or Talladega counties are invited to take advantage of the free services offered through VUB—a TRiO program funded 100 percent by a grant from the U.S. Department of Education. Enrollment at Gadsden State or any other college or university is not mandatory in order to participate. Driver’s Education classes at Gadsden State
Gadsden, Ala.--Driver’s Education classes will be offered this summer through the Continuing Education Department at Gadsden State Community College. Classes will be held June 11-14 at Gadsden State Cherokee in Centre and June 18-21 at the Ayers Campus in Anniston.
Classes will meet from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Registration fee is $175 per person and certificates will be awarded after completion of the class. Pre-registration is required. CPR Training in June
Gadsden, Ala.—Gadsden State Community College’s Continuing Education Department is offering CPR training from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 16, 22 or 23 at Jarvis Hall on the East Broad Campus. Electric Code Review Class at Gadsden State
Gadsden, Ala.—The Continuing Education Department at Gadsden State will offer a National Electric Code (NEC) review course June 16 and 23. The NEC is the standard for ensuring that electrical systems are installed safely, and the course has been approved by the Alabama Electrical Contractors Board.
The two-day session will meet from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day at the Electrical Building on the East Broad Campus in Gadsden. The registration fee of $225 covers both sessions. Pre-registration is required.

Summer Athletic Camps at Gadsden State
Gadsden, Ala.—The Gadsden State Cardinals Athletic Department will host a youth basketball camp for boys and girls in grades 2 through 6 will be held from 8 a.m. to noon June 25 and 26. Registration fee is $40 per camper per day. Contact Kori Walker, assistant basketball coach, at 205-410-6825 or Coach Tarver to register by June 21.
Volleyball camp play dates are scheduled for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 23 for junior high and junior varsity players and July 24 or 25 for varsity players. Registration fee is $100 per team. An individual camp for grades 6-12 will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 13. Registration fee is $75 per camper. For play dates scheduling purposes, participants must contact Connie Clark, Cardinals volleyball coach and camp director, at 256-490-2261 by July 1 to register.
All camps will be held at Beck Field House on the Wallace Drive Campus in Gadsden. All participants will need to provide medical release forms which can be obtained by contacting the Athletic Department at 256-549-8310 or email@example.com.
