Owl Prowl Guided Hike
Join us for an exciting evening learning about owls! We don’t often see them in the wild, but they play a very important role in our ecosystems. Join us as we discuss the traits of owls, their natural history, and their habitats together with your family in this interactive experience.
We will wrap up the evening with an owl prowl- a hike taken after dusk in which you make owl calls in the hopes that you will hear one call back at you!
Stephen Faughn from the Alabama Cooperative Extension System will be leading this interactive hike!!!!
***Bring a flashlight/headlamp and hiking boots.
Workshop to be held at the Choccolocco Creek Nature Preserve at Choccolocco Park. A map with directions to the site will be provided in a confirmation email upon registering.
