POSTPONED: Ribbon Cutting for Lake Yahou Park
The ribbon cutting for Lake Yahou Park has been postponed due to the weather.
Please join us on Monday, May 23rd, for a ribbon cutting ceremony for Lake Yahou Park in Anniston!
Just off the beaten path, you will find Lake Yahou (pronounced Ya-hoo) Park. From the eastern bypass turn onto Iron Mountain Road. Take the very first left through the gate, down a winding dirt & gravel road until you see the lake.
This beautiful outdoor space has been revitalized by the McClellan Development Authority and will be open to the public on May 23. The lake was stocked 3years ago with fingerling bass, croppie, and bream. Fishing is catch and release only. Picnic tables will be set up, or you can bring your own picnic blanket. A hiking path goes all the way around the lake. Pets are welcome, and doggy waste stations have been installed.
