Ribbon Cutting for Anniston Housing Authority
Announcing…
Anniston Housing Authority and West Anniston Foundation is Launching Occupational Skills Training (OST) in four areas of
Certified Carpentry
Anniston Housing Authority and West Anniston Foundation has merged to assist the Anniston Community by seeking to Certify 50 residents in the area of Certified Carpentry. Our Mission is ultimately to provide adult learners and displaced workers with job training that will lead to a National Recognized Certification in the areas of: Office Administration, Alabama Job Readiness Certification, OSHA 10, and specifically in the field of Carpentry in our 10 week Program. Our vision is to grow and sustain the carpentry diversity workforce industry in Anniston, AL.
This Certified Training consists of a 10-week Program with a variety of courses: Job Readiness, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10, National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER) Carpentry Level 1, and Construction Administration Assistant. This also includes multiple certifications: Alabama Certified Worker Certificate and Alabama Career Readiness Certificate, OSHA 10-hour construction industry course wallet card, and NCCER Certification. There are many useful skills to gain from being involved in our Program.
Our targeted population for the OST (Occupational Skills Training) Program is public housing residents, agency referrals, referrals from the Department of Corrections, and Community Interests. We are sure all individuals will benefit from the OST Program tremendously. We look forward to meeting all interested parties and advocates on this new venture.
