Earth Day comes once a year and with it comes a theme. This year the focus is on endangered and extinct animals, urging people to question how these critters ended up in such dire conditions. Even Alabama is not exempt from the extinction threat, having several animals that fall into categories from threatened to endangered. Guests will learn about what causes extinction crises, the problems facing animals in Alabama and neighboring states, and how to help them continue to thrive for future generations. This program is included with museum admission. Seating is limited.
