We take the amazing trees around us for granted. They grace the environment with beauty, shade, oxygen, food, and lumber (to name a few important gifts). Trees, like people, become more important to you when you know their names! Use this program to become familiar with 25 trees that are endemic to our area. A collection of leaves, bark, seeds, cones and photographs will make this easier. The same trees are located and labeled on the trail behind Longleaf Botanical Gardens. This program is $5.00 for non-members and free for Anniston Museums and Gardens members. Reservations are required. To reserve your spot, call 256-237-6766.
