Position: Outreach Coordinator
Hours: 30 hours per week.
Location: Hope Family Services, Anniston Center
General Description:
Under the supervision of the Executive Director, this position will serve as a ministry liaison to
the churches in the community, coordinate the Baby Bottle Boomerang fundraiser, outreach
events, schedule speaking opportunities for paid & volunteer staff as appropriate. This position
will also assist the Executive Director with tasks and projects as needed. Some local travel is
involved.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Fundraising
a. Coordinate the Baby Bottle Boomerang yearly campaign.
i. Work with the Executive Director to develop yearly goals.
ii. Responsible for the logistics of inventory of baby bottles, this includes
tracking the location of bottles and ordering additional bottles as needed.
iii. Work with marketing team to create materials needed to promote
the Baby Bottle Boomerang campaign.
iv. Coordinate with bookkeeping staff to evaluate and maintain the
financial accounting system of all Baby Bottle Revenue.
v. Work with the Executive Director to ensure that any
organization/churches are acknowledged and thanks for their support for
the ministry.
vi. Increase monetary donations from churches/groups to promote
ministry expansion in the community.

2. Public Relations:
a. Facilitate church, business, school, and individual partnerships.
b. Establish and maintain relationships with current partner churches and
prospective churches.
c. Participate in community events to network, build relationships, and gain traction
for the ministry (whether patients, donors, volunteers, etc.)
d. Serve as the event project manager for the annual Pastor’s Breakfast. This
includes date, venue, caterer, and speaker selection, invitation and follow-up to
churches, and job assignments for the event.
e. Strategize with the Executive Director and Marketing Specialist on different ways
to spread awareness about the services the ministry provides to serve the
community.
3. Volunteer Oversight
a. Work with Executive Director, center managers, and program coordinator to
determine volunteer opportunities and write job descriptions.
b. Actively recruit volunteers.

c. Manage the process of volunteer inquiries, application, training, and placement.
d. Maintain up to date confidential files for volunteers which include completed
applications with background checks, reference letters, emergency contact
information, and pertinent health information.
e. Creatively recognize and show appreciation to volunteers as appropriate.
Remind fellow paid staff of important happenings in volunteer’s lives, such as
birthdays and anniversaries.
4. Administrative Assistant
a. Collect and provide research to the Executive Director as needed pertaining to
information to focus on the donors, churches, events, and venues that may be
useful to the ministry.
b. Assist the Executive Director in the development of written materials and
presentations as needed.
c. Maintaining a calendar for all events, trainings, and staff vacations.
d. Manage a calendar of staff, board members, and volunteer birthdays and
manage the recognition process of birthdays, such as purchasing a gift, sending
a card, and securing signature of Executive Director.

Minimal Qualifications:

moms and dads and protecting the lives of the unborn.
2. Exhibit a strong commitment and dedication to the sanctity of all human life.
3. Exhibit strong commitment and dedication to sexual purity.
4. Agree with and be willing to uphold the Sav-A-Life’s Statement of Faith, and the policies
of HOPE Family Services, a ministry of Sav-A-Life Inc. Calhoun County.
5. Be able to express a clear understanding of the inner workings of a pregnancy care
center.
6. Excellent written and oral communication, with the skill to give speeches at events or
write proposals for community initiatives.
7. Exhibit strong interpersonal communication to interact with various people daily.
8. Possess the ability to multitask with several project details at once.
9. Be able to respect and keep information confidential.
10. Knowledge of basic office skills and current social media outlets.
Preferred Qualifications:
 Have 2 years of marketing, sales, or fundraising experience.
 Have a bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or
English.
