About Us
Located inside the Calhoun County Sports Complex in Anniston, Alabama, Grit Softball Academy was founded by Lex Hull-Muncher, Carlie Sargent Olivas, and Jackie Brown in 2022. With over 50 years of collective softball experience, the founders know what it takes to play the game - embracing the process through faith, consistency, and grit, its namesake. Grit strives to build a foundation for young girls to grow athletically, mentally, and spiritually.
Emerging as a fresh organization in a seasoned, competitive softball training environment will prove to be challenging. Long-standing competitors such as Excel, Pro-Elite Academy, and d bat have established themselves as industry leaders, made credible through company tenure, consistent program culture, and the delivery of promised results.
However, Grit offers a fresh perspective on the process and provides out-of-town expertise without the hassle of traveling and over-priced lessons. With Grit, customers don’t have to sacrifice affordability and convenience for quality training. With my knowledge and experience in strategic marketing, brand development, and partnership outreach, I will help effectively craft your brand narrative, elevate and maintain your reputation, and establish Grit as a subject matter expert in softball training across Calhoun County and beyond.
